A Peek at My Smart Home

I run my smart home on a Home Assistant Green, which acts as the brain behind everything. To make the experience smooth and accessible, I’ve built multiple dashboards:

📱 Mobile Dashboard – a clean, compact view for on-the-go control.

🛋️ Living Room Dashboard – focused on entertainment and comfort, with media, lighting, and climate controls.

🛏️ Bedroom Dashboard – tailored for winding down, with lights, TV, purifier, and sleep routines.

Every room in my home is equipped with motion sensors and connected lights, making automation seamless. Lights respond intelligently to movement, so I never need to think about flipping a switch—whether I’m walking into the kitchen for a coffee, relaxing in the living room, or heading to bed.

On top of that, my scenes (like Movie Time, Work Time, or Sleep) give me quick one-tap control to set the perfect environment instantly. Paired with real-time sensors like air quality monitoring, my dashboard doesn’t just control the home—it adapts to it.

This combination of dashboards, automation, and smart devices means my entire home runs smoothly, with both functionality and comfort at its core.

Install Java 8 on Ubuntu

Hi all, In this post, I'm going to show you how to install JDK 8 on Ubuntu 14.04. Java Platform, Standard Edition 8 is a major feature release. For more details see What's New in JDK 8 .
